In addition to what is mentioned in our belief statement, we also believe that the church is a group of people not the building. The Soul Factory was officially founded in 1996, but actually began with a call to SERVE many years before. Deron and Jill met at their local church. Deron was evangelizing by writing and performing plays that offered soul-lutions in an effort to reach those who felt God in their hearts but wanted to stay far away from what felt like falsehood or religiousity. This outreach effort began with a group of people who were initially referred to as "transplants." These families relocated to Georgia in an effort to further the cause of "Changing Lives From the Inside Out By Leading People Into A Growing Relationship With Christ". Joined by others, it's been over 15 years now and they are still aiming for "No Soul Left Behind."

Teaching the youth the importance of actions and attitude through interactive small groups with a focus on character and altruism.

Genuine altruism is linked to one’s social responsibility that compels them to help others even when it appears not to benefit them.
